CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Caring for your design furniture is simple and ensures it remains as beautiful and functional as the day it became part of your space. By following these care instructions, you can enjoy your pieces for many years to come.

Natural Stone

Marble, Onyx, Travertine

    • Avoid Acidic Substances: To prevent permanent stains, avoid exposing stones to acidic substances like vinegar, wine, fruit juices, coffee, and tea. Immediately clean the affected area with a soft, damp cloth and a neutral soap if accidental contact occurs.

    • Protect from scratches: Use coasters or trivets to protect your stone surface from scratches caused by sharp objects.

    • Avoid extreme temperatures: Sudden temperature changes can cause cracks or chips in the stone.

    • Clean spills immediately: If spills occur, clean them up promptly to avoid staining.

    • Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can permanently alter the stone's colour.

    • Regular cleaning: Gently dust your stone piece with a slightly damp, soft, non-abrasive cloth to remove surface dirt and debris.

    • Use pH-neutral Cleaner: For deeper cleaning, use a pH-neutral or stone-specific cleaner designed for natural stones. This helps clean without damaging the surface.

    • Avoid harsh chemicals: Never use all-purpose cleaners, degreasing detergents, or acidic cleaners, such as vinegar, lemon juice, or bleach, as they can etch or discolour the stone. Stick to pH-neutral.

Brass & Copper

    • Maintain Appearance:
Coated brass and copper maintain their appearance over time and do not develop a patina.

    • Wipe Regularly: Clean the surface regularly with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust and maintain the metal’s appearance.

    • Stain Removal: For deeper cleaning, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth, a pH-neutral detergent, or a cleaner specifically designed for metal. Always follow the product instructions when using a new cleaning agent.

    • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents and scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.

    • Cleaning: Fingerprints and dirt should be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and dried to prevent staining.

    • Dry: Ensure the surface is completely dry after cleaning to prevent water stains.

Textile

    • Protect Upholstery from Heat: Place furniture at least 25-30 cm away from radiators, heaters, and other heat sources to prevent damage to the upholstery colour.

    • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Leather furniture should be protected from direct sunlight and UV rays, which may lead to colour fading.

    • Regular Dusting: For leather furniture, periodically wipe with a soft, dry sponge. For fabric furniture, vacuum every two weeks to remove dust and debris.

    • Cushion Maintenance: Periodically fluff the seat, back, and armrest cushions of some models to restore their shape and volume, especially after transportation.

    • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use alcohol-based detergents, powder detergents, bleach or degreasing cleansers.

    • Avoid chlorination: Do not use chlorine-based bleaches as they can damage fabric fibres.

    • Protect from Scratches: Avoid allowing pets on furniture to prevent scratches on leather or snagging on fabric.

    • Prevent Difficult Stains: Be cautious with coffee, wine, oil, and other staining substances, as they can create tough-to-remove marks.

    • Everyday care: For everyday care and prevention, it is advisable to remove dust with a feather duster or a soft brush of the type used for clothes. It is also possible to pass a vacuum cleaner using the soft bristle nozzle designed explicitly for fabrics, and it is essential not to rub and knock the vacuum cleaner against the fabric.

    • Spot Cleaning: For small stains, blot the stain with a dry sponge or blotting paper. Avoid using coloured fabrics, abrasive materials, or scrapers for cleaning.

    • Beverage Stains: Use a sponge or blotting paper to absorb excess liquid. Gently clean the stain with a damp sponge soaked in mild, soapy water, starting from the edges toward the centre. Dry immediately with a soft sponge.

    • Test Cleaning Products: Always test cleaning products on the fabric sample included with your purchase to ensure compatibility before applying them fully.

Wood

Veneer, Solid, Lacquered, Stained

    • Wipe spills immediately: Do not allow liquids to soak into the wood. Blot up spills with a soft, absorbent cloth.

    • Protect from heat: Be cautious and never place hot items directly on the tabletop, as this can cause discolouration or damage.
Use pot holders or trivets to protect the surface.

    • Regular Dusting: Dust your furniture regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners
that can scratch the wood. It is also possible to pass a vacuum cleaner using the soft bristle nozzle

    • Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the wood to fade or become discoloured.
Reposition your furniture as needed to minimize sun exposure.

    • Avoid humidity: High humidity levels can cause the wood to swell or develop mould. Keep your furniture in a dry environment.

    • Protect from scratches: Use coasters or trivets to protect your wood surface from scratches caused by sharp objects.

    • Keep away from heat sources: Avoid placing your furniture near heat sources like radiators or fireplaces,
as this can cause the wood to dry out and crack.

    • Keep away from sharp objects: Avoid surface contact with sharp objects to prevent scratches.

    • Handle with care: Avoid physical strain or impact on the wood, which may cause splitting.

    • General Cleaning: Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of lukewarm water and gentle detergent.
Clean along the wood grain and dry immediately with a soft cloth.

    • Regular Dusting: Dust with a soft, dry cloth for daily care.

    • Stain Removal: For spills, use a wood-specific cleaner.
Apply the cleaner to a soft cloth and gently blot the stain without rubbing to avoid damaging the finish.

    • Polishing: To protect the wood and enhance its natural beauty,
apply wood polish or wax every few months, following the manufacturer's instructions.

    • Immediate attention: Address stains promptly to prevent them from setting. The sooner you treat a stain, the easier it will be to remove.

    • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents, as they can damage the surface.

    • Vacuuming: Vacuum the upholstered areas regularly with a soft attachment to remove dirt and debris.

    • Protect from moisture: Keep wooden furniture away from moisture sources to prevent swelling or warping.

Steel

    • Avoid direct sunlight to prevent colour fading and prevent exposing powder-coated steel to extreme UV light.

    • Avoid heating the powder-coated steel above 50°C, as it can damage the paint or varnish layer, leading to corrosion.

    • Protect from scratches: Use coasters or trivets to protect your steel surface from scratches caused by sharp objects. Mechanical paint and varnish layer damage can lead to metal corrosion and oxidation.

    • Handle with care: Metal coffee tables and vases come with protective foot pads that safeguard furniture and floor surfaces. These pads prevent damage caused by contact with damp or uneven ground. We recommend replacing the protective feet when worn out to maintain protection.

    • Wipe Regularly: Clean the surface regularly with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust and maintain the steel’s appearance.

    • Stain Removal: For deeper cleaning, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth, a pH-neutral detergent, or a cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel. Always follow the product instructions when using a new cleaning agent.

    • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents and scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.

    • Avoid Chlorine-Based Products: Never use chlorine-based liquids on metal, as these will cause corrosion.

    • Immediate Cleaning: Fingerprints and dirt should be cleaned immediately with a soft, damp cloth and dried to prevent staining.

    • Dry Immediately: Ensure the surface is completely dry after cleaning to prevent water stains.

Leather

    • Natural Characteristics: Leather may have natural imperfections, marks, colour variations, and other natural markings. These features highlight its authenticity, which is not a defect but a unique material quality.

    • Colour Variations: Leather colours may vary slightly from the sample, which is normal and not a manufacturing defect.

    • Wrinkles: Over time, wrinkles may form due to leather's natural properties, which add character to the material.

    • Avoid Color-bleeding Fabrics: Prevent contact between leather and fabrics that may bleed colour onto the leather. If discolouration occurs, clean the leather surface immediately using a mild soap solution and a soft cloth to prevent permanent staining.

    • Beverage Stains:Use a sponge or blotting paper to absorb excess liquid. Gently clean the stain with a damp sponge soaked in mild soapy water, starting from the edges toward the centre. Dry immediately with a soft sponge.

    • Grease Stains: Blot the excess without pressing the stain deeper into the leather. Gently clean with a damp sponge using a mild soapy solution, then dry immediately.
